Sean Stone

Sean Christopher Stone (born December 29, 1984) is an American actor, film director, producer, cinematographer, screenwriter, and TV host. He is the son of Elizabeth Burkit Cox and film director Oliver Stone. He converted to Islam in 2012.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8]

Personal life

Stone with a necklace with Zulfiqar (the sword of Ali), a symbol of Shia Islam. Stone is a convert to that religion.

Stone was born in New York City, New York, United States. He is the son of Elizabeth Burkit Cox and film director Oliver Stone.[1][10][2][3][4][5][6] His paternal grandmother was French.[11] He has acted in films since he was a child, including several of his father's films such as The Doors, JFK, Natural Born Killers, and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. Stone has become a director in his own right with Graystone, a movie based on Stone's experiences exploring haunted mental asylums.

A convert to Shia Islam in 2012,[1][2][3][4][5][6] in an interview with CNN, Stone said that he accepted Muhammad as the seal of the prophets.[12][13] Speaking to Bill O'Reilly, he claimed Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's statements about Israel had been misunderstood.[1][6]

Career

Stone is a member of the Board of Advisors for the company MindShare Ventures Group based in New York City. The company is involved in several business areas including entertainment, commodities, healthcare, real estate, tech and venture capital. He was invited to the Board in 2013 by Founder and Chairman, Ali Naqvi.[14]

Stone hosts the television show, Watching the Hawks on RT America, with his co-hosts, Tyrel Ventura and Tabetha Wallace. Stone and Ventura also host an online talkshow, called Buzzsaw.[9]
