School of Education, Christ University

School of Education, Christ University, formerly known as Christ College of Education, is a professional undergraduate and graduate school offering programmes in education at Christ University, Bangalore in India.[1] [2] It is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) of India. It offers Bachelor of Education (BEd), MA (Education), MPhil (Education) and PhD (Education) programmes.

History

The School of Education was started as Christ College of Education in 2005, offering a Bachelor of Education programme affiliated to Bangalore University, Karnataka. When Christ College Bangalore was declared a university by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) in 2008, Christ College of Education was made a department of that university. It started MA (Education), MPhil (Education) and PhD (Education) programmes in 2009.
