In addition to being an educational institution, The University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics, is attempting to make positive, impactful contributions to both the economy and society of Slovenia. These impacts are all coordinated through a well thought out corporate social responsibility plan. There are six components to the plan.[10]

Component 1: For a better tomorrow

This component emphasizes the benefits of creating a healthy community where students can thrive. The faculty emphasizes the importance of living a healthy life through the various on-campus sports centres and offering several fitness-related courses. Not only does the faculty emphasize healthy living, but through the SEB LU foundation, students are provided numerous financial resources that can help ease the burden of stress associated with any financial issues they may be having.[11]

Component 2: Corporate integrity guidelines

The SEB LU is one of the four partner institutions that created the Corporate Integrity Guidelines document, which outlines how companies who want to establish good business practices and ethics should proceed in their industry.[12]

Component 3: Sustaining green

The SEB LU is continually looking for new and innovative ways to help preserve the environment. They have done several things, including installing solar panels on the faculty building roof and creating an energy-efficient rehabilitation project.[13]

Component 4: PRME – Principles for Responsible Management Education

The faculty has prioritized the principles for responsible management education when creating the lesson plans for their courses. This prioritization ensures that students at the faculty are being taught how to overcome the 21st-century business challenges in a responsible manner.[14]

Component 5: Mobility Plan

The SEB LU has developed a travel plan that is aimed at reducing the carbon footprint created by the faculty’s activities. In addition to this, the travel plan teaches students how to reduce their carbon footprint in their everyday lives.[15]

Component 6: Hand in Hand

Equality is of the utmost importance at the SEB LU, and so they have created an environment where all students can thrive. This equal environment includes tutoring sessions for students with learning disabilities and adapting exams to suit their needs. Also, for student-athletes, some individuals help create a study plan that accommodates for the time that they must spend focusing/playing their sport.[16]
