Saveetha Engineering College

Saveetha Engineering College is a co-educational Autonomous institution located in Chennai, India. It was founded in 2001 by the Saveetha Medical and Educational Trust, a registered charitable society.Technical courses offered by the college have been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), a statutory body of the Government of India, and also by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The College is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai, the largest technical university in India.[1]

The campus is spread over 120 acres (49 ha) facing Chembarambakkam lake on the Chennai-Bangalore National Highway (NH4), Thandalam, Kancheepuram District, Chennai, Pin: 602105. Located about 8 km (5.0 mi) from Poonamalee township. The "Circular Block" has a built up area of 220,000 square feet (20,000 m2), and houses the Departments of Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics engineering, Electrical engineering, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering, Medical Electronics Engineering, Bio Medical Engineering, Chemical Engineering as well as Agricultural Engineering. Rectangle block with a built up area of 150,000 square feet (14,000 m2), houses the departments of Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Science & the Humanities.
