Saundatti Yellamma (Vidhana Sabha constituency)

Saundatti Yellamma Vidhan Sabha Seat, also spelt Savadatti, is one of 224 assembly constituencies in Karnataka state, in India. It is one of the 8 constituencies which make up Belagavi (Lok Sabha constituency). The constituency came into existence when the assembly map was redrawn in 2008. Prior to that most of its area was under the now defunct Parasgad[1].

Anand Chandrashekhar Mamani (alias Vishwanath Mamani, मामानी) who won this seat in 2018 election, should not be confused with his cousin by the same name, viz Vishwanath Karabasappa Mamani urf Rajanna Mamani. Rajanna Ramani was elected as independent MLA from Parasgad (Saundatti area) in 2004, and he died in 2018. [2] Rajanna Mamani had supported Congress Government under Dharam Singh in 2004 and later joined Yediyurappa's Karnataka Outfit when he left BJP. Chandrashekhar Mamani, Anand's father, was elected to Vidhan Sabha as Janata Dal candidate from Parasgad in 1994.

Anand Mamani was elected Deputy Speaker of Karnataka Vidhan Sabha in March 2020.

Members of Assembly

gollark: Technically, you can emulate any chip ever with sufficient computing power.
gollark: How would stuff work *better* hot? Doesn't that increase electromigration and evil badness?
