Sangram Yadav

Sangram Yadav is an Indian politician and a member of 16th and 17th Legislative Assembly, Uttar Pradesh of India. He represents the Atraulia constituency in Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh, India is a member of the Samajwadi Party.[1][2][3]

Early life and education

Yadav was born 3 October 1971 in Senpur, Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh to his father Shri Balram Yadav (5 time MLA from Atraulia). He married with Sandhya Yadav in 2005, they have two sons. He belongs to Yadav (Backward Class) family. He got M.A. degree in 1994, LLB in 1997, Ph.D in 2005 from University of Allahabad.[1][4]

Political career

Yadav has MLA for two terms. Since 2012, he represented Atraulia constituency as a member of Samajwadi Party. in first term 16th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh (2012) elections he defeated Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Surendra Prasad Mishra by a margin of 43,620 votes.[5]

In second term 17th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh (2017), elections he defeated Bhartiya Janata Party candidate Kanhaiya Lal Nishad by a margin of 2,467 votes.[5]
