Saline Liberty School
Saline Liberty School is currently housing the Young Adult program, Saline Alternative High School, along with being the administration building for Saline Area Schools. Liberty school building is on Ann Arbor-Saline Road in Saline, Michigan.
It originally opened in 1959 as the Saline High School. When a new high school building, currently the Saline Middle School, was opened on Maple Road in 1971, the Liberty School housed middle school grades 6–8. For the 2006–2007 school year, the Middle School students moved into the Maple Road building. This former Saline High School and former Saline Middle School on was renamed The Liberty School and now sits vacant, un-used for regularly scheduled educational purposes.
In the year before its closing, it had a staff of 60 with approximately 900 students.
The facility is leased to various groups, clubs and organizations periodically. Liberty School is the site of Saline's Community Education Co-Ed Intramural Basketball League. On most Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9:30, the Saline Big Band rehearses at Liberty School. Burton Orofacial Myology, LLC is also located within the building.
