Sai Gundewar

Sai Gundewar (22 February 1978 – 10 May 2020)[1][2][3] was an Indian actor, model, voice-over artist and an entrepreneur. His popularity rose in 2010 after he participated in the fourth season of the hit reality TV show MTV Splitsvilla.[4]

That appearance led to his casting in the Indian franchise of the American hit Reality show, Survivor on Star Plus India[5] in 2011. He was perhaps best known for appearing in movies such as David (2013); I, Me Aur Main (2013); Baazaar (2018) and many more. He also starred in many commercials on Indian television.

Gundewar was also a co-founder of Foodizm - a healthy meal delivery service in Mumbai, India. Due to his interest in acting and business, he liked to be referred to as an ACTORpreneur.[6][7][8]He died on 10 May, 2020 in Los Angeles while battling Brain Cancer. [9]

Career

Gundewar was unable to obtain a green card or work permit in the United States, Gundewar returned to India in 2007. Since then he went on to play cameos in films such as Yuvvraaj, P.K, Rockon!!, Pappu Can't Dance Saala, Me aur Main and David and also appeared in many Television commercials[10][11]. He played the role of ticket seller in P.K[10] His determination and his unique look landed him on popular reality shows such as MTV India's Splitsvilla Season 4.[12]
