Translated by three American women, Emily Assami, Mary Kennedy, and Amatullah Bantley[2] it uses accessible and un-archaic language.[3]
Notable conventions include rendering the God in Islam as Allah. Sahih International has been used by Islam's most conservative adherents.[1] The authors indicate by means of square parenthesis where Sunni orthodoxy requires words to be inserted.[4][3]
Ṣaḥīḥ (صحيح) may be translated as "authentic"[5] or "sound." [6]
