Sagaing Region Youth Affairs Committee

Sagaing Region Youth Affairs Committee is a government committee for Sagaing Region . It was formed on the 21 May 2018 with 24 members. The committee is led by Sagaing Region Minister for Ministry of Social Affairs, Zaw Win.[2][3][4][5]

In Sagaing Region , many other Youth affairs committees were formed in each District and Township to initiate youth policies and the committees are composed of officials from different government departments.[6][7]

Composition

Under the first decision of the National Youth Strategic Action Plan (NSDP), it was formed in accord with Sagaing Region Government Order No. 4/8-6/525 /Social Welfare. Andthen, It was re-formed in accordance with the Confirmation of Youth Forum 2018 , which was held on 2018 December 1 to 2 at Monywa. The chairman is Zaw Win, who is a minister for Ministry of Social Affairs from Sagaing Region Government and the deputy chairman is Thandar Htwe (Sagaing Region Social Welfare Department). The committee was founded by 24 members including Minister of Sagaing Region Government and in cooperation with relating departments and also youth representatives including woman Person, disability from District and Township, NGOs and LGBT.

Sagaing District Youth Affairs Committees were also formed with the decision of the Cabinets meeting of the Sagaing Region Government on 23 April 2019 to form a District Youth Affairs Committee. They are formed in accord with Sagaing Region Government Order.
