Safety (2019 film)

Safety is a live action short film directed by Fabrice Joubert and produced by Easter Moon Films & Composite Films, based on the short story Safety written by Lydia Fitzpatrick, about a school shooting in America. Engaged against gun violence[1][2] the film has been presented and won awards in a number of festivals including at L.A. Film Awards, Lift-Off Los Angeles, Peak City Film Festival and Miami Short Film Festival.[3]

Plot

In a small-town elementary school, 8-year-old Michael lays on the cold gym floor, stretching with the rest of his class. Suddenly the class hears the sound of a gunshot nearby. As they rush to seek refuge in their gym teacher’s office, Michael senses something familiar about the shooter and makes a daring move, altering both of their lives forever.

gollark: It probably still comes out as higher bitrate since you still have more changing stuff I guess.
gollark: Apparently encoders actually usually reduce quality targets in high movement bits, since you can't notice issues as easily.
gollark: Isn't that more of an encoder parameter than a fundamental thing of that?
gollark: They have perfectly good (maybe) hardware RNGs nowadays.
gollark: Nvidia GPU spec sheets often quote a CUDA core count while AMD mentions "CUs" and such, but either way it bakes down to mostly just a bunch of small parallel ALUs, schedulers and such, and fast memory.
