Saïd Akl

Said Fadel Akl, born in Damour in 1888 and died in Beirut in 1916, was a Lebanese journalist.

Biography

He launched in Western countries the Echo of Mexico newspaper and has edited several newspapers in Lebanon. He was the editor in chief of Al-Nasr newspaper.

He was arrested on February 10, 1916 and was hanged on May 6 (National Martyrs' Day) in 1916 at the martyrs' square in Beirut.
