SS Unicorn was Cunard's first ship, built in 1836 but in service for Cunard from 1840 to 1846. From what information is available, she was a 49.6m (162 feet, 8 3/4 inches) long express ship which weighed 650 gross register tons.

She was a wooden-hulled paddle steamer launched in May, 1836. She had a beam of 23.5 feet (7.16 metres) and a depth of 17.3 feet (5.27 metres)
