Rudy Pankow

Rudy Pankow (born August 12, 1998) is an American actor best known for his role as JJ Maybank on the Netflix[1] series Outer Banks.[2]

Personal life

Rudy Pankow was born in 1998 and grew up in Ketchikan, Alaska. Pankow's father, Andrew, is an architect. His mother is a homemaker. He grew up with an older brother Alec, sister, and younger brother Henning.[3][4] He attended a local school where he played soccer and participated in track events. Pankow originally considered going to culinary school, but chose to become an actor and joined a 2016–17 batch in an acting institute.[5]

After that, Pankow enrolled at Michael Woolson Studios to better his acting skills. After completion of the acting course, he started playing theatre to gain more experience.[6]

Career

Pankow is best known for his role as J.J. Maybank[7] on Outer Banks.[8] Other shows he has performed on are The Politician, Deviant, and Space Waves.

During his time in theatre, he played roles in The Nutcracker, Mary Poppins and Oliver Twist.
