Club career

Guevera played a few seasons for his hometown club Once Lobos in the 1980s.

Managerial career

Guevara retired early as a player to become a manager in 1987. In 1998, he won promotion to the Primera División de Fútbol de El Salvador when he guided Santa Clara to the second division title. Guevara replaced Garabet Avedissian as C.D. FAS's manager late in the 2000–01 season, and after a shaky start guided the club to a second-place finish.[1][2][3]

In June 2003 he signed with Municipal Limeño in order to also help them win promotion.[4]

Guevara coached Once Lobos in 2005, before retiring from coaching.

He also worked with Omar Pastoriza at the El Salvador national football team in 1995. [5]
