Ross Paterson
Ross Paterson (born 13 March 1984) is a Scottish curler. He currently skips his own team on the World Curling Tour.

Career
Juniors
Paterson represented Scotland at the 2005 World Junior Curling Championships, playing third for the Logan Gray rink. After finishing the round robin with a 9-0 record, they lost in the semifinal against Canada, and settled for a bronze medal, after defeating the US in the bronze medal game.[1]
Paterson was a member of the British team at the 2007 Winter Universiade as the team's alternate. Paterson did not play in any games, but won a silver medal as a member of the team.[2]
Men's
Paterson won his first World Curling Tour event at the 2006 Mercure Perth Masters, playing for the David Edwards rink.[3] Paterson would later join the Hammy McMillan rink, playing second. The team played in the 2010 European Curling Championships, finishing in 5th place.[4] In 2011, Paterson joined David Murdoch's rink at second, and finished 5th at the 2011 European Curling Championships.[5]
Paterson played for Logan Gray once again, for two seasons between 2012 and 2014. In 2014, he won the Perth Masters once again as a member of the team.[6]
In 2014, Paterson joined the Tom Brewster rink. The team won three events in their first season together, the Swiss Cup Basel, the Curling Masters Champery and the Dumfries Curling Challenge.[7][8][9] The team won the Scottish Men's Curling Championship in 2016, and represented Scotland at the 2016 World Men's Curling Championship. There, the team finished with a 5-6 round robin record, placing 7th.[10] The team represented Scotland at the 2016 European Curling Championships, placing 6th.[11] On the tour, the team won the 2016 Karuizawa International and the 2017 Perth Masters.[12][13] That season, Paterson also played alternate for Scotland at the 2017 World Men's Curling Championship, finishing 7th, though he did not play in any games.[14]
Paterson joined the Greg Drummond rink for one season in 2017 as Drummond's third. He was also the alternate for Scotland (skipped by Bruce Mouat) at the 2018 World Men's Curling Championship, where they won a bronze medal.[15]
In 2018, Paterson formed his own rink with Kyle Waddell, Duncan Menzies and Michael Goodfellow. The team had a successful first season on the World Curling Tour. In their fourth Grand Slam event of the season, they defeated Team Bruce Mouat in the final of the 2018 National, in the first all-Scotland Grand Slam final.[16] They also won a bronze medal at the 2018-19 Curling World Cup - Grand Final.[17]
Personal life
Prior to becoming a full-time curler, Paterson was a council officer in East Dunbartonshire.[18]
