Roosevelt Union Free School District
Roosevelt Union Free School District (RUFSD) is a public school district in the hamlet of Roosevelt in the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County, New York.
As of 2007 it was the only school district in New York to ever be taken over by the state.[1] However, in 2013, the state gave control back to the district.[2]
