Robert W. Johnson (Minnesota politician)

Robert W. Johnson (May 4, 1924 – March 20, 2013) was an American politician, lawyer, and tax accountant.

Born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Johnson served in the United States Navy during World War II. Johnson received his bachelor and law degrees from University of Minnesota. He practiced law and was a tax accountant. He served in the Minnesota House of Representatives as a Republican.

Johnson threatened the Public Safety Commissioner when the State Patrol turned down his request to fly him to St. Paul for the funeral of a former governor. He was also found guilty of three drunk driving arrests in a seven-week period and was sentenced to one year in prison, three year's probation and fined. (1995)[1][2]

He died in Fountain Hills, Arizona.[3][4]
