Robert Scholey

Sir Robert Scholey CBE FREng[1] (8 October 1921 – 12 January 2014) was the Chairman of British Steel from 1986 to 1992.[2]

Early life

Scholey was born in Sheffield and was educated at King Edward VII School. He left school aged 16 to work for Steel, Peech and Tozer.[3][4] During World War II he served as a captain in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.[2] He was appointed a Fellow[1] of the Royal Academy of Engineering[1] in 1990.

gollark: As much as I mostly dislike golang, I think they got it right.
gollark: What if you want to use fallthrough in a *bit* of a mostly non-fallthrough switch/case?
gollark: (also, how would you specify fallthrough if you wanted that?)
gollark: Well, you could possibly, but it would likely be awful and not type safe.
gollark: The issue isn't the extra typing, it's that it's easy to forget and introduce weirdness (and also the extra line is ugly).
