The boat was built by Marine Concepts in Tarpon Springs, Florida, United States. The design is a cabin version of the Sun Seeker 23 daysailer, also built by Marine Concepts.[1][4]
Design
The Rob Roy 23 is a small recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fiberglass, with wood trim. It has a fractional yawl rig, an internally-mounted spade-type rudder and a centerboard keel. It displaces 2,800 lb (1,270 kg) and carries 900 lb (408 kg) of ballast.[1][2]
The boat has a draft of 4.67 ft (1.42 m) with the centerboard down. The fuel tank holds 12 U.S. gallons (45 L; 10.0 imp gal) and the fresh water tank has a capacity of 14 U.S. gallons (53 L; 12 imp gal).[1]
The design has a hull speed of 6.14 kn (11.37 km/h).[2]
