Richard Fielder

Richard Fielder (1758 – 1826) was an English professional cricketer who made 20 known appearances in first-class cricket matches between 1790 and 1801. He played mainly for Kent sides but also represented Surrey and England sides. He was noted as "a very fine field and catch".[1]

Fielder was born at East Malling in Kent.[2] He worked as a horse trainer and is thought to have eloped with one of his riding pupils. Afterwards they kept the Woolpack Inn, near Tenterden.[1]
