It is described as "a love story in context of the political changes from before the Iranian revolution to the present".

Behrouz Vossoughi and Monica Bellucci co-star in this movie.

The film is based on Iranian Kurdish poet and author Sadegh Kamangar, who spent 27 years imprisoned in Iran while his family was told that he was dead. For many years Sadegh's family cried over a fake grave staged by the Iranian government.[5]
