Refresh Festival

Refresh is an annual music festival held in Maximus discothèque in Kotor, Montenegro. It started in 2007 and is hosted in July / August. It usually has 2 stages (a DJ and a Hip Hop stage), but the 2008 edition included a 3rd, open-air stage for live performances by Ex-Yu bands. Among the most world-popular artists that performed at this festival are Bob Sinclar, Hernan Cattaneo, Sharam, Darren Emerson, Ian Pooley... In 3 years, 35.000 people visited the festival, and it was followed by both regional and international media.

Refresh 2007

Refresh 2007 was the first edition and it was held from August 9 to August 12. The DJ stage featured both world-famous and local artists, while the Hip Hop stage was reserved for local rappers.

Refresh 2008

Refresh 2008 lasted from August 7 to August 10 and featured performances from globally famous DJs as well as popular Ex-Yugoslavian hip-hop, rock and folk stars. This was the only edition to feature a Live, open-air stage.

Refresh 2009

The 2009 edition was held on July 30 - August 2. James Zabiela was originally supposed to perform on the first night at the DJ stage, but had to cancel his gig due to personal reasons, so he was replaced by Steve Lawler. The Hip Hop stage's hosts were Serbian rappers Ajs Nigrutin and Sky Wikluh.

Refresh Festival 2010 was held in Top Hill discothèque in Budva and featured world-famous DJs such as Steve Angello, Martijn Ten Velden and Kevin Saunderson.

Refresh 2011

After the 2010 edition being held in Top Hill, Budva, in 2011 Refresh festival returned to Kotor. The 2011 edition was held between August 4. and August 6. The headliners were Felix da Housecat, Funk D'Void and Sébastien Léger.
