Rational Engineering Lifecycle Manager

Rational Engineering Lifecycle Manager is a product lifecycle management application created by the Rational Software brand of IBM. In 2019, this application was renamed "Engineering Insights" (ENI).

During product development, teams use ENI to query, visualize, and analyze engineering data across multiple project tools, such as Rational DOORS, Rational DOORS Next Generation, Rational Rhapsody, Rhapsody Model Manager, Rational Team Concert, and Rational Quality Manager. Data created and managed in other tools can be indexed, and by using connectors it can be shown in ENI.

With ENI you build views and impact analysis diagrams that show your engineering artifacts and the relationships among them. Project teams use this product to make engineering decisions, and to ensure or demonstrate compliance with industry standards. ENI can be used for tasks like:

  • Change impact analysis: What work must we do for this change request?
  • Situational awareness: Where are we as we converge towards a milestone?
  • Validity checking: Is our engineering information complete and related correctly?

ENI is part of theIBM solution: Rational Engineering Lifecycle Management [1]

gollark: See, according to my calendar, it's 05/01/2020 Common Era.
gollark: I did.
