Ramon Guiteras
Ramon Guiteras (17 August 1858[3] – 13 December 1917[4]) was a pioneering surgeon who specialized in urology and founded the American Urological Association.[4] He was born in Bristol, Rhode Island,[5][6] and graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Medical School.[3][6]

He was the cousin of Juan Guiteras, the noted Cuban doctor, and died in New York City on 13 December 1917.[4] He is buried in Juniper Hill Cemetery, in Bristol.[3] In his will he left $350,000 to build a school in Bristol to honor his mother, which resulted in Guiteras Memorial School (1925).[7][8][9] He was inducted into the Rhode Island Heritage Hall of Fame in 2009.[8]

gollark: I do about 130WPM on prose-style typing tests, and probably write slower in chats and stuff due to latency induced by sometimes having to think hard about contents.
