Ramchandra Prasad Singh

Ram Chandra Prasad Singh is a Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha from Bihar. He is from Janata Dal (United) party. He is a native of Nalanda district and was a UP cadre IAS officer before joining politics. He was also principal secretary to Nitish Kumar.[2]

Personal life

Singh was born in Mustaffapur in Nalanda district, Bihar to Sukhdeo Narayan Singh and Dukhalalo Devi. He did his schooling from High School, Hussainpur, Nalanda. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in History and did Master of Arts. He is an alumnus of Patna Science College, Patna College and Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He married Girija Singh on 21 May 1982, with whom he has two daughters.[1] His daughter, Lipi Singh, is a 2016-batch IPS officer.[3]
