Ram Karki

Ram Karki (Nepali: राम कार्की( पार्थ)), (born 14 October 1956) also known as Surendra Kumar Karki, is a Nepali politician belonging to the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist).[1] As of August 2016 he is the minister for Information and Communications of Nepal.

Personal life and early career

He was born on 14 October 1956, at Rumjatar of Okhaldhunga district and had remained underground for 10 years during the decade-long insurgency in the country. He has been active in the politics for the past 35 years. He is currently married to Sherap Shenga, who was born and raised in Sikkim, India. Together they have a son and a daughter. Karki also has a daughter from his first wife but she is not close to him.[2]
