Rajesh Garg

Rajesh Garg, sometimes known as Rajesh Garg Rohiniwala, is an Indian politician.[1] He won as an M. L. A. from Rohini constituency in the 2013 Delhi Legislative Assembly elections. He is also an RTI activist.[2][3]

Political career

During his student days at the University of Delhi, Garg was a member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP - Bharatiya Jan Sangh's students and youth wing). He quit ABVP and joined hands with a student leader who, too, had quit National Students' Union of India (Indian National Congress' students and youth wing) the same year to form a Chhatra Morcha, in order to contest DUSU Elections. Garg was elected the President.

Garg's wife fought an election on Congress ticket. In spite of being a Congress member, he took part in the Jan Lokpal Andolan.[1] Aam Aadmi Party suspended Garg when he released an audio tape featuring Arvind Kejriwal. He also alleged that Kejriwal's men used to call him and other MLAs up, pretending to be leaders from Bharatiya Janata Party and asking for support.[4][5]
