Raja Shivchatrapati

Raja Shivchatrapati is a Marathi language historical TV drama based on Chatrapati Shivaji, founder of the Maratha Empire.[1] The program was first aired on Star Pravah, a Marathi TV channel, and was the first program aired on Star Pravah.[2]

Plot

Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, born at Shivneri fort, establishes the Maratha kingdom against all odds by fighting against the Mughal dynasty.

Cast

Production

The program was created and produced by Hindi film's art director Nitin Chandrakant Desai. Amol Kolhe played lead role of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Mrunal Kulkarni as Rajmata Jijabai.[5] It was directed by Hemant Devdhar.[6] Filming took place at ND Studios in Maharashtra. Babasaheb Purandare and Devendranath Kasar were consulted for historical content as can be seen from credit list of the serial .
