Biography and career

Rafi discovered Muay Thai at 17 years old after a year of training in the French boxing discipline Savate. He moved to Thailand to the Singpatong gym in 2012 inspired by Damien Alamos.[2]

In 2017 he became the third non thai fighter to win the Lumpinee belt after Morad Sari and Damien Alamos. Following the rules of the Lumpinee Stadium Rafi was stripped from his belt after his knock out loss to Nontakrit despite the belt not being on the line. He won his belt back later that year against Simanoot Sor Sarinya.

In 2019 Rafi signed with ONE Championship and announced he was aiming to challenge Nong-O Gaiyanghadao for the ONE Muay Thai Bantamweight title.[3] He was scheduled to make his ONE debut at ONE Championship: Immortal Triumph on September 6, 2019. However, he was later forced to withdraw from the event due to an injury, delaying his debut with the organization.[4]

gollark: The only distinguishing feature of Macron is that, really.
gollark: I agree.
gollark: Macron is *generally* omnipresent and immortal, or would be if it existed, which it doesn't.
