Rachel Brookes

Rachel Brookes is a British TV sports presenter and reporter for Sky Sports News and Sky Sports F1.

Career

She started her career at KISS FM. Brookes then worked for Rock FM and Power FM, before moving to talkSport. After working with Sky for 18 months, she began working as presenter for Setanta Sports News. Following the channel’s collapse, she worked for IMG, before going to Sky Sports News, where she now works as a presenter for their coverage of Formula One racing, and as a news presenter and reporter.[1]

Brookes has interviewed many important people in Formula 1 including Bernie Ecclestone,[2] Lewis Hamilton & Sebastian Vettel.[3]

Education

Brookes studied media and communications at Birmingham University.

Personal life

Rachel was born on 21 August 1974. Her father was the organiser of, and a driver on, record attempts at Montlhery and Monza, setting several world endurance records. One of her two brothers also had a brief but successful stint as racing driver.[1]
