Quaranqueen

On June 6, 2020, Lady Leshurr released her third extended play titled "Quaranqueen" under her own label Unleshed Records.

In an interview with British newspaper Metro UK, Lady Leshurr said about the EP: "I want to put out something about the struggles of not being able to go out, or work, or losing your job. There will something for everyone in this EP that will tick everybody’s boxes."

Releases

The first single, titled "Quarantine Speech", was released on March 31, 2020.[2]

In an interview with Metro UK, she said about the song and it's music video: "I did it for the people that needed it and kept messaging me, telling me to do a coronavirus song. ‘I did it as an anthem for the people. It will be a one-take with a few props here and there, trying to get people together and keep them happy in this dark time."[3]

The second single, "Quaranting" featuring Busy Signal was released on May 14, 2020. An alternate version of the song without Busy Signal, titled "Isolation," was released on the EP.[4]

Performances

In April 2020, Lady Leshurr was a guest on Russell Howard's Home Time, where she performed "Quarantine Speech."[5] She also performed the song on the Youtube Originals Stream #WithMe live event. The four- hour fundraising event for NHS charities included lockdown tips, games and challenges.[6]

Quaranqueen Qoncert Series

In June 2020, Lady Leshurr announced a four-night performance series titled "Quaranqueen Qoncerts," where she would perform the songs from the EP on her Facebook Live, Instagram Live, Tik Tok Live and Youtube Live pages.
