Guliston (Tajikistan)
Guliston (formerly Qayroqqum or Kayrakkum; Tajik: Гулистон) is a town in north-western Tajikistan.[1] It is located in Ghafurov District of Sughd Province, at the western tip of the Kayrakum (Qayroqqum) Reservoir.[2] Qayroqqum is a city of provincial subordination, administratively subordinated to the provincial capital of Khujand, not to the district capital of Ghafurov.

The population of Qayroqqum in 2007 is estimated at 12,500 for the city proper and 38,500 for the city with the outlying communities.[3]
