Puru Raaj Kumar is an Indian actor. He acted in some Bollywood films.He is the son of legendary actor Raaj Kumar.

Early life and education

Puru Raaj Kumar was born on 30 March 1970. He is the son of Raaj Kumar and Gayatri. He was a student of Gettysburg College where he majored in Economics, Psychology and Theatre.[1][2]

Career

Puru Raaj Kumar's first film Bal Bramhachari which was released in 1996.[1][2][3] In this film Karishma Kapoor was his co-star. After four years he acted in Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai in 2000 where he acted in negative role.[4][5] His film Mission Kashmir also released in 2000.[6] His three films were released in 2001. These films were Khatron Ke Khiladi, Uljhan and Arjun Devaa.[7][8][9] In 2002 his four films were released. These films were Bharat Bhagya Vidhata, Vadh, Inth Ka Jawab Patthar and Dushmani.[10][11][12][13] He acted in LOC Kargil in 2003.[14]

After several flop and disaster films in box office Puru Raaj Kumar did not able to make strong place in Bollywood. He acted in Jaago in 2004.[15] After more than two years his film Umrao Jaan was released in 2006.[16] He acted in Dosh in 2007.[17] He was a part of Veer which was released in 2010.[18] He also acted in Action Jackson in 2014.[19]

Personal life

Puru Raaj Kumar married to Koraljika Grdak on 14 October 2011 in Zagreb.[20] Koraljika Grdak is a Croatian model.[21][22]

Controversy

It is alleged that Puru Raaj Kumar ran his car over eight people who were sleeping on a pavement in Bandra, Mumbai on 17 December 1993.[23] Three people were killed through this accident. It is also alleged that he was drunk at that time.[23] He was arrested for this incident.[1][24] Later, he was released. It is said that the matter was settled out of court and he had to pay fine for this incident.[25]
