Puna tapaculo

The puna tapaculo (Scytalopus simonsi) is a species of bird in the family Rhinocryptidae. It is found in the eastern Puna grassland of Bolivia and Peru.

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forest and subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland. It was named for American scientific collector Perry O. Simons.[2]
