Description

As an adult, Psychropotes is roughly cylindrical in shape and red to violet in colour. It has a sail-like appendage which it is able to use for swimming during its larval stage, but it is no longer needed when it is fully grown. Psychropotes larvae are benthopelagic and swim around using the aforementioned appendage, however researchers are still trying to understand its use when the holothurian is fully grown. Larvae are transparent and can grow to around 2 cm long.

gollark: Formatting does belong in the client, sure, except there's not really much of a way to get people to actually standardize on one.
gollark: But I think the biggest issue is not having message history.
gollark: I like at least having italicization work.
gollark: Like the not very intuitive permissions model, needing you to run a bouncer or something if you want message history, and lack of (generally available) text formatting or file uploads.
gollark: IRC has some problematic flaws.
