Prunus occidentalis

Prunus occidentalis is a plant in the family Rosaceae of the order Rosales.[3][4] The plant can be found in the Caribbean, Central America and northern South America.[5] It is commonly found in Puerto Rico.[6] Its Spanish common names include almendrón.[5] Its English common name is the western cherry laurel.[6] The plant is common in the Toro Negro State Forest.[7][8]
