Principality of Suleyman

Principality of Suleyman or Principality of Qulp The Kurdish principality that ruled in the Silvan and Qulp regions in the 15 century and 1838 centuries. [1][2] Süleyman Bey (Silivânî) comes from the name of the Kurdish gentlemen family. It consists of the Kurdish pronunciation of the name Süleyman. It is the name of the administrative unit, not the town.[3] After the Battle of Chaldiran Kara Behlul is the most famous ruler of the principality that separated in 1514 as Silvan and Qulp.[4] The Süleyman Principality was in good relations with the Safavids and during the allied Safavids there was Emir Diyadin[5]. Süleyman Beylik, who joined the Ottoman after the Battle of Chaldiran, lived his brightest period in the late 15th century [6]. In the 17th century, it will migrate to the Dogubayazit region and establish the Beyazit Beylik [7]. The existence of this principality was terminated in 1838.
