Primula prolifera

Primula prolifera is a flowering plant in the family Primulaceae. Its botanical names is currently unresolved.[1] It is also known by the common names Candelabra primrose and Glory of the Bog.[2]

Description

Evergreen herbaceous perennial.[2]

  • Height: Flowering stalks reach up to 75 cm.[2]
  • Leaves: Deep green, spoon-shaped simple leaves arranged in a basal rosette.[2]
  • Inflorescences: Flowers born in whorls.[2]
    • Flowers: Bright golden-yellow, fragrant, measuring 2.5 cm (1 in) across.[2]

Range

Found from the eastern Himalayas to Indonesia.[2]
