Pride of the Nation Gold Medal Awards

The Pride of the Nation Gold Medal Awards (Urdu: پرائڈ آف دی نیشن گولڈ میڈل ایوارڈز) are the annual awards of Journalist Foundation Pakistan and are one of the best awards to honour the distinguished personalities of Pakistan .[1] The awards were first introduced in 2004 by Mr Zulfiqar Ali Malik, President Journalist Foundation Pakistan, with a purpose to recognize the achievements of those who worked for Pakistan. The first award distribution ceremony was held on 7 December 2004 at Islamabad. Since then, the awards were presented annually.[2]

Pride of the Nation Gold Medals are Journalist organized honour of Pakistan.[3] It is the highest journalistic decoration given to any civilian in Pakistan based on their achievements. The award is limited to the citizens of Pakistan who have done great services to Pakistan.[4]
