Portuguese Well
The Portuguese Well (Malay: Perigi Portugis) is a former water well in Pengkalan Samak Village, Merlimau, Jasin District, Malacca, Malaysia.[1][2]

History
The well was dug by the Portuguese during the Portuguese Malacca as the water source for the soldiers when they were stationed here to protect Merlimau from the attack who came from Muar.
Architecture
The well was built with laterite rocks obtained from the beaches around Malacca.
