Porphyromonas
Porphyromonas is a Gram-negative, non-spore-forming, obligately anaerobic and non-motile genus from the family of Porphyromonadaceae.[3][1][2][4] This genus has been found to be part of the salivary microbiome.[5] The use of targeted 16S rRNA gene metagenomic sequencing has shown that the genus is well represented in healthy individuals from the Human Microbiome Project.[6][7][8]
