Pohari (Vidhan Sabha constituency)
Pohari Vidhan Sabha constituency (formerly, Pohri) is one of the 230 Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) constituencies of Madhya Pradesh state in central India.[1] This constituency came into existence in 1951, as Sheopur Pohri, one of the 79 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of the erstwhile Madhya Bharat state.[2]
Overview
Pohari (constituency number 24) is one of the 5 Vidhan Sabha constituencies located in Shivpuri district. This constituency covers the entire Pohari tehsil and parts of Shivpuri and Narwar tehsils of the district.[3]
Pohari is part of Gwalior Lok Sabha constituency along with seven other Vidhan Sabha segments, namely, Karera in this district and Gwalior Rural, Gwalior, Gwalior East, Gwalior South, Bhitarwar and Dabra in Gwalior district.[3]
