Pionair Australia BAe146-200 at Sydney Airport

Pionair Australia has been operating for over 20 years, specialising in both dangerous and non-dangerous cargo transport, FIFO operations and charter transport.[1] The airline holds an IAOC permit, allowing the airline to operate and carry passengers and cargo anywhere in the world. Since 2016, Pionair Australia operates Virgin Australia Cargo flights under contract via TNT.[2]

As at April 2020 the company has 5 BAe146 Freighters and 4 Bae146 Passenger aircraft

The first of two Embraer E190-E2 were delivered in January 2020 for operations on behalf of Air Kiribatti , scheduled start Mid 2020 ( now delayed due Covid-19)

Pionair currently operates 9 British Aerospace BAe146 aircraft. The airline previously operated a Convair 580 within Australia.[3] The average Bae fleet age is approximately 30 years old and the E190 fleet are New build aircraft .
