Piers de Lombard

Piers de Lombard [lower-alpha 1] was an either a Gascon or Lombard knight who served in the Scottish War of Independence. He was appointed by Edward I of England as Sheriff of Edinburgh and was Governor of Edinburgh Castle and Linlithgow Pele. He later entered the service of Robert the Bruce after being placed in the dungeons of Edinburgh castle by the English garrison and released by the Scottish who retook the castle. His estate of Cowden, Midlothian was forfeited in 1316. Piers was later hanged, drawn and quartered by the Scottish for being a traitor.

gollark: Then I moved it nearer the magic wireless box™, and thought I plugged in the cable, but as it turns out made a mistake as it didn't click in properly. So now it is TRULY ethernetted.
