Philtzgérald Mbaka

Philtzgérald Grégory Kévin Mbaka, commonly known as Philtzgérald Mbaka, (born 24 January 1993) is a Congolese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for the reserve team of Swiss club Yverdon-Sport FC.[1]

Club career

Australia

Mbaka signed a one-year contract with South Melbourne at the beginning of 2016.[2] He first featured in a 4–1 win against Oakleigh Cannons that April.[3] before departing by June.[4]

Oman

Mbaka joined Oman Club in November 2016,,[5][6] taking the number 31 and becoming teammates with a Brazilian, a Chilean, and a Central Asian.[5] Supplying assists instead of scoring,[5] he helped Al-Ahmar qualify for the semi-finals of the 2016–17 Sultan Qaboos Cup, beating Suwaiq Club 1–0[7] before being knocked out in the second leg. causing them to not reach the final.

International career

Mbaka played two matches for the Republic of the Congo national team, including a 1–1 draw with Kenya in African Cup of Nations qualifying and a friendly against Ghana.[8][9]
