Sri Mayakoothar Devasthanam

Sri Mayakoothar Temple - Thirukkulandhai, Perunkulam is one of the Nava Tirupathi, nine Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in Tiruchendur-Tirunelveli route, Tamil Nadu, India in the banks of Thamiraparani river. All nine of these temples are classified as "Divya Desams", the 108 temples of Vishnu revered by the 12 poet saints, or Alwars.[2] The route is from Srivaikundam to Tuticorin or Eral or Authoor buses. There is a special shrine for "Kazhuneer Thuraiyan"(Kazhuneer ---> water used for perumal Abhisheka Thurai --> Path),at the backside of the temple. There is no direct pooja for this god and whatever rituals done for Perumal is done to this god also after performing it to Perumal which proved to be very very powerful and unique. as the god has no physical form only it has a pair of slippers and a small stick every last Friday of thai(mostly during February first weeks) is special.

Notabilities

The city was known in ancient times and is surrounded by paddies, reservoirs, streams and vegetation. Thiruvalutheesvarar Temple is also a significant feature.

gollark: I don't think so. But people would probably be able to figure out if it was particularly ASICable.
gollark: Since the OS isn't actually running to handle scheduling and all.
gollark: If you want it to be totally powered off until a certain time I am not sure if you can do *that* easily, though.
