Peristernia violacea
Peristernia violacea is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Fasciolariidae, the spindle snails, the tulip snails and their allies. It is characterized by a silver or gold periostracum that is iridescent when wet, and a deep violet aperture. It is likely endemic to the Line Islands, and is recorded from Palmyra, Kiritimati, and other nearby islands.[1]

Description
This species is fairly small, reaching around 35mm in length. It is characterized by a silver or gold periostracum that is iridescent when wet, and a deep violet aperture. Pease referred to the iridescence as greenish silver.
