Two strangers stranded in the Scottish Highlands on Christmas Eve team up to try and get home in time for Christmas.

Production

Based on Ryan Hendrick's 2015 short film of the same name, Perfect Strangers began production in September 2019. In June 2020, the film entered its final stages of production, ready for its release at Christmas 2020.[1][2] The film also appeared in a special BBC News report in January 2020 while filming was taking place, including interviews with members of the cast and production crew. It is officially Scotland's first Christmas romance comedy-film. [3]

Casting

The full cast list was revealed on 20 November 2019, that consisted of Kenny Boyle, Natalie Clark, Sylvester McCoy, Sanjeev Kohli, Clare Grogan, Frazer Hines, Caitlin Blackwood, Karen Bartke, Alasdair McCrone, Alexander Teunion and Nicolette McKeown[4] with additional cast members being announced on 28 December.

Filming

The majority of filming took place in December 2019 and January 2020 around Fort William and Glencoe.[5][6] Filming was officially completed on 19 January 2020.[7]

gollark: My router's web interface sends some sort of horrible XPath RPC stuff *in JSON* *in a form body* to a backend which then sends back some weird JSON looking like this, which is, I think, a general indication of its code quality.
gollark: Are the botnets targeting routers not enough for you?
gollark: If my experience and random blog posts are anything to go by, consumer routers mostly run horrible hodgepodges of various poorly secured C programs duct-taped together and then exposed to the internet and quite possibly never updated.
gollark: I had one with a telnet interface on which you could get root access by doing `ps ; sh`.
gollark: > there's no way anyone got through my randomly generated 32-character root passwordThis is irrelevant. Routers have awful security.
