Details

The event was established in 1984 and is usually held at Penang Bridge in late November every year with the exception of 2014, in which the event was held at Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge which also known as the Penang Second Bridge. During the competition, participants run over the bridge and along a scenic coastal highway.[1] Known as the biggest run in the country, the Penang Bridge International Marathon incorporates a full marathon and a half-marathon event. The competition also had a 8 km fun run event and a quarter-marathon or 10 km run event. But as part of the rebranding exercise, they were removed in 2018 and 2020 respectively.[2][3][4]

gollark: Oh, we had an argument about that ages back. Possibly before sofia existed.
gollark: Well, for #2, at least, some bee might program it with really naïve utilitarianism.
gollark: Yes, intelligence probably isn't going to magically make it converge on the ethical system you want.
gollark: I generate English via a convoluted series of syntax tree manipulations going through Lojban and such.
gollark: English is not easy to use because it has bizarre and incoherent grammar and spelling ""rules"".
